Saturday March 15th 8am - 11am: Beef Weigh-in.

Tuesday, April 15th 7 pm: Fores Grove Hall. First and second year parent meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend. We will be covering what to expect up to the fair and at the fair. We will also go over requirements for notebooks. This is the ideal time to recevie hand out for your notebooks as well as get a jump start on finishing your notebook for 2008. ***** Remember don't forget to take your stating pictures. *****

Saturday, May 3rd: Spring Beef Show. Hudsonville Fairgounds. This is a great opportunity to get your steer out into a show ring and test both you and your steer's abilities. Registration from to come.

Saturday, May 17th 8AM - 11AM: Lamb and Hog tag in. All male animals must be castrated at this time. All lambs must have a scrapies ear tag from the breeder in their ear. Mark your calendar becasue this is the only day you can tag in you lambs and hogs. *** rembmer each 4-H member can tag in 3 animal but can only show 2 at the fair. ***

Tuesday June 24 7:00 PM: Hog Meeting at the Bolt's 2143 8th Ave Byron Center. Show requirements as well as illustration on how to show your hog will be discussed. WE will also have a list of supplies you will need and touching on how to shave your hogs (optional) and how to prepare for show day. This will be another chance to get information for your notebook and ask any quesitons you might have.

Tuesday July 8th 7:00 PM: Lamb Meeting at Smallegan's 3453 Perry Street. We will be going over basic showmanship and pre-fair feeding and preparation for the fair. A list of supplies needed for the fair will also be available. This will be an opportunity to get information for your notebooks.
